Our Tips for Coping with PCOS

September is Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) awareness month and we would like to take this opportunity to share some healthy and holistic ways that can help ease symptoms and help goddesses cope with the condition. What many people do not realize is just how common PCOS is. PCOS affects 1 in 10 women, with most women being unaware of the condition until experiencing problems whilst trying to get pregnant in their 20's-30's. This issue contributes to why it is such a poignant subject to so many women as PCOS is the most common reason for infertility, hormone imbalances and possibly diabetes due to how your body resists insulin. What are the Symptoms of PCOS?

Every woman is unique and therefore not all women with PCOS will have all of the symptoms of PCOS. Each symptom can also vary from mild to severe, but the common symptoms are:


- Irregular periods or no periods at all

- Difficulty getting pregnant (because of irregular ovulation or failure to ovulate)

- Excessive hair growth (hirsutism), usually on the face, chest and back

- Weight gain due to hormone imbalances

- Thinning hair or hair loss from the head

- Oily skin or acne
